Blizzard Exhibition

It seemed as though the OCN Blizzard had a tough time to take it on the chin Friday night. The Blizzard faced a hot offensive line as they played the Bombers in Flin Flon.

OCN took more than enough penalties. Carter Comeau got a 7 minute major and a player game misconduct for fighting. The Bombers went on to blank the Blizzard 5-0.

The OCN Blizzard travelled to La Ronge, Saskatchewan for an exhibition game against the Ice Wolves last night. OCN won that one 2-1.

The Blizzard won’t play now until Saturday, an exhibition game against the SJHL Nipawin Hawks at OCN.

The OCN Blizzard wins first exhibition game of the season

The MJHL OCN Blizzard had their first game of the year last night.

Although it was just exhibition play, a good crowd showed up to cheer on their local team and the results were in the hometown’s favour. The OCN Blizzard beat the SJHL Flin Flon Bombers 8-7. The Blizzard will take a short road trip to Flin Flon on Friday for a rematch against the Bombers and that game will be broadcast on 102.9 CJAR.

In the only other junior’s game last night, the Winkler Flyers doubled the Winnipeg Blues 4-2.
