The Manitoba government has announced eight million dollars toward a new transitional safe space that will operate around the clock.
The Northern Lodge will include ten private studio suites, counselling and program space, a shared kitchen and a dedicated child-minding area.
The project is a partnership with the Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre and Infinity Women Secretariat, providing culturally grounded support to help women and families rebuild their lives.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2028.
