Years of giving back to the community have earned Al Meston the 2026 Order of Thompson.

The Thompson Community Foundation recognized Meston for his volunteer work, dedication and the time he has spent helping others and making Thompson a better place.

Modelled after the Order of Canada, the honour recognizes lasting contributions through leadership, service and community commitment.

Meston was celebrated at the foundation’s fall gala on September 26th, marking the event’s return after a several-year pause due to COVID.

He joins past recipients including Tim Johnston, Fred Palmer and Volker Beckmann.
