Both senior varsity teams from R.D. Parker Collegiate are currently at Sanford Collegiate, vying to bring home not one, but two Provincial AAA Basketball Championships.
Starting with the senior varsity girls, their opening match up came against the Churchill Bulldogs. When the final buzzer sounded, the Bulldogs walked away with the win and will move on to the semifinals against Garden Valley. The Trojans will now shift their focus to the consolation side of the bracket, where they will face the Linden Christian Wings. The winner of that matchup will advance to take on either Mennonite Brethren or Dauphin

The senior varsity boys, however, remain in contention for gold after defeating Nelson McIntyre 56–51 in their opening game. They will now face Mennonite Brethren in the semifinals at approximately 2:00 p.m. today. With a win, the Trojans will advance to the championship final, where they will take on either Lorette or Linden Christian tomorrow.
