Both JV basketball teams from R.D. Parker Collegiate were busy this past weekend, taking part in Round One of the JV AAA Rural Provincial Tournament.

Starting with the JV girls, their opening game was against the host school Lorette Scorpions, a team they defeated by just one point to advance to the final. In the championship game, they faced the Dauphin Clippers. The Trojans ultimately fell 60–46 to Dauphin, narrowly missing out on qualifying for Round Two.

Meanwhile, the JV boys found success in both of their games against Sanford and Virden. With those victories, they advance to the next round and will have a chance to compete for a JV AAA Provincial banner. More information regarding the next round is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
