The Zone 11 Senior Varsity Girls and Boys Championships are taking place this weekend, with both MBCI squads competing for a coveted championship banner.
The SV Girls will travel to the Helen Betty Ininiw Education Resource Centre for their round-robin and bracket-style tournament. Competing in Pool 2, the girls are set to face the HBOIERC Huskies and St. Theresa Point Mukwa.
Meanwhile, the SV Boys will remain at home as they host the Zone 11 Championship. In Pool 1, the Spartans will take on the OLC Wolverines and the HBOIERC Huskies.
The two Zone 11 champions will advance to the provincial championships, which will happen sometime in March.
