R.D. Parker Collegiate had three of their four basketball squads in action this past weekend.
Starting with the JV boys, the Trojans made the trek south to Ste. Anne Collegiate for their basketball invitational. After picking up a win over Lorette in the opening round, the Trojans fell to the eventual tournament champions in the Faith Academy Lightning. That loss set them up for the third-place game against the Louis-Riel Voyageurs, where they unfortunately came up short in a highly competitive matchup, finishing fourth overall in the tournament.
Both SV teams were in action at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, competing in the 2026 Boys and Girls HIT Tournament. The SV girls dropped their first two games against Miles Mac and Kelvin High School, and later fell in the seventh-place game to the Garden Valley Zodiacs.
The SV boys, meanwhile, opened the tournament with a loss against the eventual champions in Murdoch MacKay. The Trojans bounced back with wins over Kildonan East and Oak Park, finishing the weekend strong by capturing the Consolation Final.
Both SV teams will remain at home this weekend as they prepare to host the RDPC Varsity Boys and Girls Tournament.
