The Flin Flon Bombers had their 11 game winning streak snapped in Weyburn last night after dropping a 3 to 2 decision in OT.
It was a former Bomber in Rylan Pearce who did them in with a three point game including the overtime winner, which is his first as a Wing after coming over from the Regina Pats of the WHL.
The Bombers Joey Lies continues to have the best season of his career, opened up the scoring with his 22nd of the year on the powerplay. Reid Arberry also having a break out year scored the other goal, his 19th short handed.
Weyburn got their other goals from Luke Dekay and Lucas Schmid.
It was a great goaltending dual between the Bombers Charlie Tritt who stopped 32 of 35 and Joey Rocha was solid for the Wings stopping 28 out of 30.
Even though the Bombers had their winning streak snapped last night they still picked up a point and are unbeaten in regulation in their last 12 games. Flin Flon still sit first overall at 29-9-1-1. That is 5 points up on the second place Battleford Stars and Weyburn Red Wings who picked up their 26th win last night.
Flin Flon hasn't lost in regulation since December the 12th, when they dropped a game in the Battlefords.
The Bombers will enjoy a day off today with the road trip resuming in Estevan tomorrow and wrapping up in Melville on Saturday.
