Kings And Queens Dominate Kopper Crown Classic

The Senior  Hapnot Kings and Queens hosted their first basketball tournament of the year this past weekend, the Kopper Crown Classic.

 

The Kings won both their round robin games against Nelson House and Chemawawin convincingly to book their spot in the final.

 

After a slow start in the first quarter, the Kings rolled over Norway House in the final winning 91 to 37. Creighton finished third beating Nelson  House.

 

The Hapnt Queens also had a good weekend beating Sam Cooke and Creighton in the round robin. That put the Queens in the final against Swan River and the Queens rallied with the winning bucket with just over a minute remaining to win  in exciting fashion 37 to 35.

 

Creighton finished third beating Frontier out of Cranberry 58 to 37.

 

Next up for the Senior Hapnot Queens will be the Caleb Janzen Memorial Tournament in Creighton January the 30th and 31st. The Senior Hapnot Kings will be in Swan River for a tournament this weekend.
