It was a good start for the Senior Hapnot Queens Volleyball team who took part in their first tournament of the year this past weekend in Elton.
The Queens started with a win over Grandview, a loss to Carberry and then a win over Goose Lake to finish first in their pool.
That would advance them to the playoff round where they beat Major Pratt out of Russell before losing to Carberry once again in the semi finals. The Queens would then play the host team from Elton for third place and they ended up winning in two straight sets.
The JV Hapnot Queens were in Thompson this past weekend and they went 12-0 and ended up winning that tournament.
