It was a good start to the new SJHL season for the Flin Flon Bombers who knocked off the Laronge Ice Wolves in both games in the home and home this past weekend.
In front of a packed house at the Whitney Forum, the Bombers buried the Wolves 9 to 4 on Friday night.
New comer Ryan Ulmer score just 1:36 into the opening period and the Bombers went into cruize control.
Flin Flon got goals from 9 different scorers including Xavier Fachon, Landon Alexander, Ryder Mucha, Reid Arberry, Leo Seitz, Joey Lies, Wyatt Stinton and Benett Leibel.
Devin Peck started his first regular season game in the SJHL and collected the win for the Bombers making 21 saves on 25 shots. The Bombers managed to get 9 pucks past veteran Graham Brown on 52 shots.
Specialty teams were also a factor in the outcome with Flin Flon going 2 for 4 on the powerplay and Laronge ended up 0 for 5.
The next night the Bombers travelled to Laronge to play the first ever regular season game at the Wolves new home, the Jonas Roberts Memorial Centre.
This is a beautiful facility that should do the Wolves proud for many years to come.
Once again the Bombers started quickly with Ryder Mucha re-directing a shot past Riley Zezel who got the start on Saturday night.
