The Flin Flon Bombers made their way to Swan River last night for a pre-seasn encounter with the MJHL'S Swan Valley Stampeders.
It was a tight contest with the Bombers prevailing by a score of 3 to 2. Landon Alexander scored the game winner short handed midway through the third period.
The other Bomber goals were scored by newcomers Beck Bethard and Connor Hoemsen. Ben Groome scored both goals for Swan River.
Flin Flon used two goalies last night including Matt Bradley who was sharp making 18 saves on 19 shots. He would make way for Brayden Burrows who got in for the second straight game and he stopped 12 of 13.
The Stampeders went with the duo of Easton Falls and Elias Giaccari Dimitriou who were busier and combined for 39 saves on 42 shots.
With last night's win Flin Flon improves to 5-0 in the pre season and will entertain Swan River at the Whitney Forum tomorrow night at 7:30.
Then the Bombers will wrap up the pre season on Friday with the third and final installment of the battle of Northern Manitoba.

Regular season begins on September the 19th when the Bombers will host the Laronge Ice Wolves.
