The Flin Flon Bombers are pleased to announce that Leighton Carruthers has committed to the University of New Brunswick for the up coming hockey season.

Carruthers arrived in Flin Flon in October after 4 years in the QMJHL,  and made a big splash putting up 19 points in 18 games before getting injured in January . He came back for the playoffs and was able to score 5 goals in 5 games.

The University of New Brunswick is considered one of the top U-Sports programs in Canada , and was recently coached by former Bomber Assistant and Blizzard Head Coach Gardiner MacDougall.

The Reds have 10 national championships to their credit and have won 7 straight Conferences titles.
