The Northern Stars Volleyball team made up of girls from Flin Flon were in Winnipeg for volleyball Provincials this past weekend.
The Stars had one of their best weekends so far this season and went 3-0 in the round robin to finish first in their pool.
That would get them to the play in round and they beat the Impact 25 to 11 and 25 to 12, before losing to the second best team in the province the Winnipeg Attack that dropped them to the Consolation bracket.
They lost their first game in the Consolation bracket to the Ace Volleyball club before rebounding for wins over Interlake and the Bandits.
The Stars ended up finishing 13th out of 24 teams and that was their best placing for club volleyball teams this season.
It was also a good tune up and confidence builder for Nationals coming up in Edmonton the May long weekend.
