Congratulations to the Flin Flon Bombers Anthony Piccininno who is going to get a chance to further his hockey career.
Piccininno has committed to Alvernia University of the NCAA Division 3.
Piccininno was a fan favorite for the Bombers the past couple of seasons and put up 76 points points in 99 regular season games for Flin Flon and added another 27 points in 26 playoff games over the last two years.
The Toronto product also suited up at this past season's SJHL/MJHL Showcase and was one of the top performers at the three day event.
Andrew Burke is the Head Coach of the Alvernia Ice Hockey Program and had this to say about the addition of Anthony Piccininno.
“We are thrilled to welcome Anthony to our program. Throughout the recruiting process, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional character and maturity. Anthony’s passion for the game, skillset and natural leadership will undoubtedly make an immediate impact on our lineup this fall. Coming from Flin Flon, we know the caliber of player we are bringing in – hardworking, responsible in all three zones and is highly coachable. Anthony and his family will be outstanding additions to the culture and values we uphold here at Alvernia University.”
