The 2013 Junior Northstars are all set to begin their spring hockey season.
The roster will once again be filled with players from Flin Flon, The Pas, Thompson and Rankin Inlet and this will mark the third year the team has competed in the spring season and are excited to kick things off this weekend in Portage La Prairie for the Portage Cup.
The Northstars will play their two round robin games on Friday with action beginning at 2:20 pm against the PV Pilots and will then square off against the host Central Plains Red Wings.
After completion of the round robin the teams will be seeded for the playoffs which begin Saturday.
