On the eve of the SJHL Playoffs, Flin Flon Bomber goaltender Matthew Kieper was a huge winner as the league announced their year end award winners.

 

Kieper was chosen both the SGEU League MVP and Sasktel Goalie Of The Year.

 

Since Kieper's arrival in early November, the Flin Flon Bombers are a totally different team. At the end of October Flin Flon sat 10th overall, but slowly started to move up the standings to finish second overall and Kieper was a big reason why.

 

Kieper led the league with a 1.80 GAA and .935 save % to go along with 3 shut outs. His record was an amazing 23-2-1-1and he took home Goalie Of The Month honors twice this past season.

 

The Bombers prepare for the Humboldt Bronco's as the SJHL will officially kick off the playoffs on all four fronts tomorrow night including game one at the Whitney Forum.
