The JV Hapnot Kopper Queens were in Souris this past weekend representing the North for Provincial Basketball.

 

The Queens have had a great season and were actually ranked second heading into the weekend.

 

Unfortunately the Queens got upset in their first game against Glenboro/Carberry and got relegated  to the Consolation bracket.

 

Hapnot responded with back to back wins over Wiliam Morton and a convincing 60 to 31 win over the Warren Wildcats to bring home the Consolation.

 

The Souris Sabres who were ranked number one, ended up winning the tournament beating Glenboro/ Carberry in a close game 38 to 36.

 

Hapnot will host Senior Basketball Provincials starting on Thursday and you can follow the Hapnot Instagram page for game scores, players of the game, team rosters and other event info.
