Luke Lepper continues to have a break out season for the Flin Flon Bombers and for the third time this season has been awarded the Super U Defenseman Of The Week for the SJHL.
Lepper had a great weekend against the Battleford Stars where he picked up 4 points including two goals in the back to back wins. He also picked up an assist in the 5 to 4 OT loss in Nipawin on Tuesday.
So far this season Lepper has 39 points in 49 games which has him sitting fourth overall in league scoring for defensemen. His 33 assists have him sitting third overall as he continues to bring it every night.
The Flin Flon Bombers only have two regular season games remaining and will finish second overall no matter the outcome. They face Laronge in a home and home and after the Wolves beat Melfort on Wednesday they still have a chance to finish 8th for the final playoff spot.
They would need to beat the Bombers in both games and hope the Kindersley Klippers lose their final two games against the Battleford Stars.
