The weather was awesome for week 5 of  the Big Ice/ Koop Ski Challenge with over  80 skiers hitting  the trail which  included skiers from out of town who were in for the Saskatchewan Cross Country Ski Championships.

 

 The  km goal this time  was  skiing from Flin Flon to Saskatoon which is  546km, but with the  number of  ski racers this time  they blew it away  and actually skied  799 Km.

 

 Charlet Unrau, Mathew Unrau, Luke Unrau, Brett Unrau, Darrell Janzen, Sara-Lynne Koop, Madison Senko, and Laurie McLeod  all posted a time.

 

Based on the differences in their ages they all won their respective categories and will receive a $25 gift certificate from, The Candy Bar, Copper Kettle, Rubies, Orange Toad, and Super K

 

You can pick your prizes up at the Ski Club Chalet on Monday and Tuesday 4pm-5pm

and Saturday 1pm-4pm from Dennis.

 

The new map for the challenge for Week 6 will be posted on the Flin Flon Ski Club Facebook page.
