The 55th annual Munn Cup wrapped up yesterday in Thompson with both the Northland Ford Bombers and Ped’s Threads Bombers seeing action.
The Ped’s Threads Bombers went 0-1-2 in the round robin in the A Division, with a 2-2 draw with the Pas and losses to Thompson and Swan River.
That would put the Ped’s Threads Bombers in the Lamontagne Cup Final against the Pas and they won a thriller in the shoot-out 4 to 3.
Reagan McPherson, Axel Johnston-Stener and Blaise Brough scored the goals in regulation. Shea Dorian would score the winner in a shoot-out in the fifth round.
The Northland Ford Bombers went 2-1 in the A-1 Division with wins over Cross Lake and Norway House. Their one blemish came against Thompson.
They would play Thompson once again for the Crocket Cup and they ended up losing 7 to 2 and finished second.
Flin Flon will now get ready to host the U-11 A Provincials February the 28th to March the 2nd, with the Peds Threads Bombers being the host team.
Flin Flon will kick off the tournament against Dauphin at 2pm on Friday February the 28th at the Whitney Forum.
