The biggest high volleyball tournament took place this past weekend in Brandon, the Spartan Dig featuring over 30 schools from right across the province.
The Senior Hapnot Queens ranked third in the province , beat Green Valley and Morris in straight sets in the round robin before dropping their final round robin game to Gilbert Plains.
That knocked the Queens down to the B-Side where they beat Hamiota Neepawa and Virdon in the semi's and advanced to the final.
Hapnot continued to impress and beat Lorette in the final in an exciting third set 15 to 12 and continue to be one of the top teams right across Manitoba.
The Hapnot Kings also took part and they dropped all their round robin games to Landmark, Green Valley and Faith Academy.
That would knock the Queens down to the C-Side and they battled St Maurice hard losing in three sets and were relegated to the Consolation.
The Kings dropped their final game to Gilbert Plains in three sets but did improve as the tournament went on.
