Kodiaks Off To Rosetown

The Creighton Kodiaks six man football team hit the road for Rosetown as Provincials will start tomorrow.

The Kodiaks are coming off a very successful regular season where they went 4-2 including a convincing 51 to 14 win over Hague in their final home game.

This is the first time a team from Northern Saskatchewan has qualified for the Provincial bracket as the Kodiaks finished second in their conference.

It won't be easy as the Kodiaks suffered some devastating injuries late in the season to quarterback Josh Trumbley and other impact players in Brayden Eyres and Payton Pellietier.

The Rosetwon Rpyals are also one of the top 6 man football teams in Saskatchewan and finished their season 6-0 out scoring the opposition 270 to 30.

Saying that , Head Coach Ryan Karakochuk looks forward to the challenge. " First of all we are really excited, we have earned the right to go to Rosetown as we have had a really good season. I am extremely happy with how the guys have performed this year playing in a hard conference. With a 4 and 2 record we get to  go and play a really good 6 and 0 football team in Rosetown and we understand who we are playing against and what it means. We are going to go and give it ouir best shot."

The game will take place tomorrow  at Rosetown Central High school with a 1pm Sask time kickoff. Since it is provincials they will be charging admission including $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students grade 7 to 12.
