It was a great weekend of volleyball for the Hapnot Kings and Queens this past weekend in Swan River for the Doug Oberlin tournament.
The Queens went 4-0 in the round robin with wins over Swan River, Ethelbert, OCN and Norquay.
That put them in the semi's against RD Parker and they beat them two sets to one including 15 to 10 in the tie breaker. That would put the Queens up against Swan River in the final and the Queens prevailed winning in two straight sets.
Hapnot finishes first and have one of the top volleyball programs in the province and are currently ranked fourth.
The Hapnot Kings also had a good weekend going 2-1 in the round robin with wins over the RD Parker JV team and Swan River. Their one loss came against the RD Parker Senior team.
The Kings made it to the playoff round and dropped both games to MBCI out of the Pas in the semi's and put together a good effort against RD Parker for third losing 2-1 including 15 to 12 in the tiebreaker to finish fourth.
MBCI finished first beating Swan River two sets to none in the final.
