The Flin Flon Bombers are 1-1 to start the young SJHL season and picked up a nice addition to their hockey club with the signing of 20 year old forward Carter Cormier.
Cormier brings a lot of experience to the Bombers having suited up for over 100 junior games with the Brooks Bandits, Selkirk Steelers, Bismarck Bobcats and Blackfalds Bulldogs.
His best season was in Selkirk in 2022-23 when he put up 52 points in 45 games and was named the MJHL'S Rookie Of The Year.
Cormier will be in the lineup this weekend when the Bombers face the Laronge Ice Wolves in a home and home tomorrow and Saturday.
The timing couldn't be any better with an injury to Carter Anderson that will keep him out of the lineup for a few weeks, so should help fill the void.
You can catch Saturday's game from Laronge on 102.9 CFAR and flinflononline.com with the Great North GM Coach's Show at 8:10, Manitoba time.
