We are just a few hours away from Flin Flon Bomber Main Camp as another SJHL season is just around the corner.
The Bombers will welcome 60 players to camp in what should be very exciting and competitive with some big spots to fill.
Flin Flon will need to fill the void of veterans Justin Lies, Harmon Laser Hume, Adam McNutt, Donavan Houle, Alexi Sylvestre, Riley Niven, Matt Egan, Jacob Vockler and Anthony Bax who have all graduated.
Saying that Head Coach and GM, Mike Reagan expects to be competitive once again. " I think there will be better opportunities for younger guys this year, I think we have the potential of having three 17 year olds on our team this year. We are excited about our young group and I think with the success we had last year we were able to recruit very well with some higher end guys. Competition will be very stiff. We don't think that we are rebuilding, we are re-tooling and we bring back some great players. Carter Anderson is back and he had 60 points in 42 games last year and we are expecting him to not only be one of the top scorers in the SJHL, but the country. We are excited about the opportunity Kenny has in net here and did a fantastick job last year. We have Cole Tanchuk and Kylynn Olafson coming back for their fourth season and we have four defenseman that played on last year's team which was one of the top teams in the country."
The Bombers are also excited about the editions of local players Ryder Mucha and Wyatt Stinton who will join Joey Lies, who gets ready for his third year as a Bomber, giving the team potential for three local players.
Ice sessions begin at 11 am this morning and here is the weekend's complete schedule.

6:00pm to 7:00pm – 2nd Place vs. 3rd Place (Semi-final)
7:30pm to 8:30pm – 1st Place vs. Winner of Semi Final (Final/Jonny Doogs Cup)
