Bombers Will Hold Main Camp This Weekend

Flin Flon Main Camp is just a few days away as it will open up this Friday at the Whitney Forum.

60 kids are expected to be in town vying for spots for one of the top programs in the country that has been to the league final 5 times in the last 7 seasons.

Flin Flon will bring back some quality players from last season including Carter Anderson who led the league with 22 powerplay goals last year.

Kylynn Olafson and Cole Tanchuk are back for their fourth year with the Maroon and White and should provide some valuable leadership. Anthony Piccininno was a real spark plug last year and he will look to build off a season that saw him pick up 39 points including 21 goals.

Koen Senft returns for his second year and will be counted on for some secondary scoring after a decent rookie campaign where he picked up 27 points in 50 games and added 6 points in the playoffs.

Kenny Marquart is the lone returning goalie and will be given the chance to carry the mail this year and put up incredible numbers going 16-3-1 and among the league leaders in shutouts with 4.

The Bombers are also looking forward to some new recruits in local prospects Wyatt Stinton and Ryder  Mucha.

Stinton suited up for the Rink Hockey Academy in Winnipeg and put up an amazing 40 points in 30 games. Mucha played for the Tisdale Trojans of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League and was better than a point per game with 46 points in 44 games.

Camp will open up Friday with registration at 10 and intersquad games starting at 11.
