Day one of the Manitoba Summer Games is in the books in Dauphin.
Team North had a tough day in various team sports.
The U-14 Boy's Volleyball Team faired well against the competition.
They beat West Orange in their first game 25 to 13, 14-25 and took the tie breaker 15-11.
They then dropped both sets to South Red 20-25 and 4-25.
They are back on the court against West Green at 11:40. 6 of the 8 players hail from Wabowden with Flin Flon's Drew Patterson filling one of the other spots.
The U-14 Girls had a tough day losing to West Green 25-23, 9-25 and 9-15 in the tie breaker.
They also lost their second match to South Red 13-25 and 17-25.
Playoffs started today and Team North were eliminated after losing to Winnipeg Blue 3-25 and 9-25. The girls from Flin Flon once again included Alexa Santos, Nicole Dimapiles, Ava Etienne, Violet Eggert, Elynn Smith, Jocelyn Kozar and Gracie McIntosh.
U16-17 Boys Basketball Team North went 1-1.
They beat Team South 55 to 50, then lost to Team East 74 to 70.
Playoffs start today at 12:30 against West number two. Team North is led by Flin Flon's Walter Stenbeck and Chase Ray Michelle out of Cranberry.
The girls start on Thursday.
In U-14 Female Soccer the girls had a couple of tough outings against Winnipeg and Team South. They will look to turn things around against Team East at noon today.
Boys start Thursday.
