Norman Wild Win Prince Albert Tournament

It was a good weekend for the Bantam “AAA” Norman Wild in Saskatchewan.

The girls won the Bantam division at the tournament in Prince Albert, winning four of five games in the process.

The Wild opened up the weekend with a 5-0 win over the North East Aces, and finished the opening day with a 6-1 thumping of the Saskatoon Comet Vipers. Saturday saw the Wild split their two games, winning 4-0 over the Hague MsConducts before falling 4-0 to the Prince Albert Beachcomber Foxes.

The Nor-Man side finished the preliminary round of the tournament with a record of 3-1, outscoring the opposition 15-5.

The Wild entered Sunday's final as the number two team. They faced the Foxes, who finished the prelims at number one after Saturday's game. It was the team from Manitoba, however, that came through in the final. They claimed the championship banner by a score of 4-2.

The team is in action again this coming weekend as they take on Interlake.
