The Midget “AA” King Miners continued to roll, posting two wins over the Cross Lake Islanders over the weekend on the road.
The Thompson side skated away with a 5-4 victory on Saturday, before winning 6-5 yesterday afternoon.
Jonathan Saunders currently leads the King Miners in points (44) and goals (28). Saunders’ goal totals, according to the league website, account for over 20% of the team’s scoring this season. Casper Stoker leads the team with 17 assists.
The King Miners currently sit atop the NorMan Midget “AA” Hockey League with a record of 17-1 (34 points). They have a 15 point lead on second place Flin Flon.
The Thompson King Miners are next in action this coming weekend as they host the Islanders at the TRCC.
