The Thompson Midget "AA" King Miners are champions!

The team, who went 24-0 during the regular season, swept The Pas Huskies in the championship series this past weekend.

The Miners won game one on Friday evening 5-2, before barely escaping Saturday with a 4-3 victory.

On Sunday evening, the Thompson side showed why they were #1 in the regular season and The Pas were #2 with a 7-1 thumping to complete the sweep.

The King Miners' season isn't over, however, as Thompson is hosting the Rural "A" and "AA" Hockey Manitoba Provincials starting on Friday.
