The Norman Wild are in Winnipeg to play their first round playoff series against the Winnipeg Avros.
The Wild, who finished in sixth place with a record of 9-18-1, need to win one of the three weekend games to bring the series back to Thompson. The Avros finished the season with a record of 20-8 in third place
The Wild will be looking to captain Kali Cummings up front, who leads the team in scoring with 10 goals and 14 assists. She is coming off a goal and assists last weekend in two games against the Pembina Valley Hawks.
The first game of the series takes place tonight at 7, game two tomorrow at 4:45, and the third game will be played Sunday at 11:45am.
