Wild Wrap Up Season At Home Against Pembina Valley

The Norman Wild Midget AAA wrap up their 2016-2017 regular season this weekend with a pair of games against the Pembina Valley Hawks.

 

The Wild currently sit 6th in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League with a record of 9-16-1.

 

The Norman Wild have been led up front all season by Kali Cummings, who leads the team in points with 9 goals and 12 assists for 21 points. Annaliese Meier leads the team in goals in 10. Shayna Moore has led the way between the pipes for most of the season, posting a 5-9-1 record with a 2.53 GAA and a 0.927 save percentage.

 

Their opponent this weekend, Pembina Valley, sits fourth with a record of 18-6-2. The team is being lead by alternate captain Sage McElroy-Scott, who has posted 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points in 26 games.

 

The Hawks are coming off a pair of losses at the end of January, one to the Westman Wildcats and the other to the Central Plains Capitals.

 

The Wild last played in January, where they went 2-1 in a weekend set against the Winnipeg Avros and Interlake Lightning.

 

The Wild and Hawks will play tonight at 8:00 at the C.A. Nesbitt before wrapping up the regular season Saturday at noon.
