Kevin Hayes scored a power-play goal with 1:09 left in the third period to lift the New York Rangers to a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets last night. Jets forward Drew Stafford was in the penalty box for high sticking when a point shot went through traffic and Hayes capitalized for his 11th of the season.

The Jets will now go to Alberta and play a back to back with against the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers this weekend.
