With the second phase starting up at the Manitoba Games, a new athlete has shown up and won more than one medal.

Jarvis Gibb won three medals, all bronze, in swimming. He competed in the 50 metre breaststroke and the 100 metre breaststroke. He competed in a team event when Team Norman finished third in the 200 metre mixed freestyle relay.

Silver was picked up by Ryan Nawrocki in the 50 metre freestyle.

The Norman female under 13 soccer team got off to a good start in its first day of competition.

Norman beat Parkland 4-0 and Winnipeg Blue 3-0, to get off to a 2 and 0 start. They are ready to play the other undefeated team Interlake today.

Norman has 12 medals in all throughout the week so far.
