A new agreement aims to strengthen trade connections through northern Manitoba.
Arctic Gateway Group, CentrePort Canada and global logistics company DP World have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore opportunities involving the Port of Churchill and Hudson Bay Railway.
The partners will look at port operations, shipping services and a potential transportation corridor connecting Manitoba businesses with international markets.
Arctic Gateway President and CEO Chris Avery says the goal is to connect Western Canadian resources with new customers and diversify trade.
The announcement does not outline specific construction projects, investment commitments or timelines.
