Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak is calling for a full police investigation into what it describes as a racist display at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc in British Columbia.

MKO Grand Chief Garrison Settee says the display is especially painful as residential school Survivors continue to share their experiences.

The organization is also renewing its call for Canada to make residential school denialism a criminal offence.

First Nations chiefs passed a resolution supporting that move in July.
