A 27-year-old Brochet man is facing several charges after a firearm was allegedly discharged at a residence in the community.

 

Thompson Rural RCMP say officers were called shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report that a man had fired a gun, striking a home.

 

Police say two women exited the residence after officers arrived, while the suspect remained inside. Officers later entered the home and arrested him in a bedroom.

 

A search of the property also led to numerous firearms being found in a shed.

 

The man faces several firearms-related charges, including pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession and reckless discharge.

 

Thompson Rural RCMP continue to investigate.
