People with an old criminal record will have a chance to get free help with the record suspension process when the John Howard Society of Manitoba visits Thompson next week.

Record suspension caseworker Mike Mahon says a suspension can remove a criminal record from public record checks, which can make a difference when applying for jobs or volunteer opportunities.

The John Howard Society will be at the Thompson YWCA on October 1st from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
