The City of Thompson is looking for a longer-term solution to drainage and road concerns around Pipe Road and the Burntwood Trailer Court.

A resident recently raised concerns with council about flooding, potholes and uneven road surfaces in the area.

City communications official Ian Graham says crews have been removing standing water when necessary, but those measures only address the immediate problems.

The study is expected to examine why the drainage problems are happening and what could be done to address them on a more permanent basis.
