Students at Burntwood School have helped create a new crosswalk recognizing Truth and Reconciliation.

The crosswalk was painted outside the school last week as part of Burntwood’s recognition of Truth and Reconciliation Week.

Principal Liisa Brolund says the idea came while staff were looking for a meaningful way to honour residential school survivors and remember the children who never returned home.
 

Brolund says new Burntwood teacher Mr. Roger designed the artwork and took on the project with his Grade 7 class.
