Thompson RCMP have arrested a 37-year-old woman following a drug trafficking investigation in the city.

 

Police say officers executed search warrants at three separate residences on Deerwood Crescent, Pipe Road and Sandpiper Drive on September 17th.

 

RCMP say officers seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine along with more than nine-thousand dollars in Canadian cash.

 

Alexis Halvorsen was arrested without incident at the Sandpiper Drive residence and has been charged with trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.

 

Police say the seized items are still being processed and the exact quantity of suspected drugs has not yet been determined.

 

The investigation remains ongoing.
