Three people are facing kidnapping and other charges following an early-morning traffic stop in Flin Flon.

 

RCMP say officers stopped a vehicle on Hapnot Street around 5:30 Saturday morning and discovered two male passengers had allegedly been threatened with a machete and taken against their will.

 

Police allege the three suspects were taking the men to a bank to force them to withdraw money.

 

One victim was treated in hospital for a minor injury, while the other was not injured.

A 48-year-old Sherridon man and two women from Flin Flon have been charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

 

All three were remanded in custody, and the investigation continues.
