Now that school and fall activities are back in full swing, the Northern Health Region has some advice for families struggling to keep healthy meals on the table.
Bruce Krentz says healthy eating doesn’t have to mean complicated recipes or hours in the kitchen.
He recommends keeping things simple when deciding what to eat.
For school lunches, Krentz suggests options like homemade snack boxes, yogurt parfaits and tortilla rolls, while quick dinners could include tacos, salads or meals prepared ahead in a slow cooker.
