A Dauphin man is facing 26 new charges following an ongoing RCMP firearms trafficking investigation.

 

Police say a July search of a Dauphin residence uncovered 445 firearms, an antique cannon, ammunition and more than 300-thousand dollars in cash.

 

RCMP say 295 firearms were unsafely stored, 10 were prohibited, and 11 restricted or prohibited firearms were not registered to the suspect.

 

Investigators also recovered 26-and-a-half kilograms of explosives, while two registered firearms remain unaccounted for.

 

78-year-old Inky Mark now faces 38 charges in total.

He was re-arrested August 12 and later released on an undertaking.
