NCN citizens are heading to the polls today as the 2026 Chief and Council election gets underway.

Voting will run from 9 this morning until 8 tonight, with a second day of voting scheduled for Thursday during the same hours.

Polling locations are set up at the Norman Linklater Memorial Multi-Plex in Nelson House, St. Joseph’s Hall in Thompson, the Holiday Inn on Ellice Avenue in Winnipeg, and the Town Centre in Leaf Rapids.

A travelling poll will also be available in Nelson House today before moving to Thompson on Thursday.
