Canada by Canoe Pushing Through an 8,000-Kilometre Journey

An expedition attempting to make history is continuing across Canada after an incredible journey through northern Manitoba.

Canada by Canoe is attempting an 8,000-kilometre trip in a single season, with paddlers Will Vyse and Nolan Aziz continuing west while filmmakers Kai Morgan and Ezra document the journey from land.

The expedition has already included injuries, hospital visits, frozen waterways and even hundreds of kilometres travelled on foot with their canoe and gear.

Kai Morgan says seeing that endurance firsthand has been incredible.

But the journey isn’t only about setting a world record. Canada by Canoe is also working toward raising one million dollars for True North Aid, supporting northern and remote Indigenous communities across Canada.

Anyone looking to follow the expedition, track the paddlers’ progress or donate to the cause can visit CanadaByCanoe.com, or follow @CanadaByCanoe on Instagram and Facebook.
