Canada Post has released a new series of stamps celebrating wolves and their importance to ecosystems across the country.

The collection features four wolves found in different parts of Canada: the grey wolf, eastern wolf, Arctic grey wolf and coastal grey wolf.

Canada Post says wolves are considered a keystone species because of the role they play in maintaining healthy and diverse ecosystems.

The animals also hold an important place in many Indigenous cultures.

The new stamps and related collectibles are available beginning today at select postal outlets and through Canada Post.
