The city-wide boil water advisory in Thompson has now been lifted.
The advisory had been in place since August 8 following a valve installation on the city’s 14-inch water line.
Most residents can now safely use tap water for drinking and cooking without boiling it first.
However, localized boil water advisories remain in effect for 46 to 96 Oak Street, McMunn and Yates at 44 Station Road, the Wellbriety Centre at 504 Princeton Drive, and Princeton Towers North Tower at 424 Princeton Drive.
People at those locations should continue boiling water for one minute before using it for drinking or cooking until they are notified that their advisory has been lifted.
