A precautionary boil water advisory remains in effect for Thompson as the city waits for clearance from the Office of Drinking Water.

The advisory was put in place Saturday following scheduled water system work.

Residents should continue boiling water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, making ice, preparing food or brushing their teeth.

The City of Thompson says residents will be notified once the advisory can be lifted.
